Huksy Hop

The Husky Hop is will take paddlers along the amazing crystal clear coastline from Huskisson Beach passing some of some of the most sort after beaches in the world. Each participant will be required (at various points) to come ashore as quickly (or as long) as they choose, collect a wristband and "hop" to the next point until they reach the finish line at Huskisson Beach. By hopping and hugging the coastline this will be great for spectators, amazing for swimmers and paddlers and allow a safer event for our team.

2km | 6km | 10km

All participants will be required to exit the water at the allocated distances and the same on the return and receive a branded silicon wristband for both clarification you have been to the allocated check points and for participant safety.

Up the Creek

UP THE CREEK IS AN ENDURANCE RACE WHERE COMPETITORS WILL RACE THEIR CRAFT UP AND AROUND THE CREEK.

From the white sands of Jervis Bay to the gateway of Huskisson, Moona Moona is the iconic creek that you cross coming into town. This predominantly still water paddle is perfect for all abilities from the novice to the seasoned veteran. This event offers something to challenge competitors of all abilities. If you don't have your own craft, or would like to try something new there will be a number of options available for complementary craft hire on the day*.

Event Course

8KM ENDURANCE

Up the creek is a fun, exciting and competitive 8 km paddle using the tides for assistance.

This event will be a beach start, competitors will paddle around a buoy and head left towards Currumbene Creek, past the famous Husky Pub. The paddle for both SUP and Ocean Skis will wind its way down the sometimes dolphin-filled crystal clear water and a plethora of anchored craft to the small island, where paddlers will traverse clock-wise and return to Huskisson Beach. 

This event is great for competitors of all abilities.

Bay to Beach

THE BAY TO BEACH IS A DOWNWIND RACE THAT TAKES YOU FROM CALLALA BAY TO WHITE SANDS BEACH IN JERVIS BAY.

Each afternoon the nor-east winds pick up on the shores of Jervis Bay making this the ideal location for an epic downwind event. The crystal clear waters lined by powder white beaches will make this a memorable event whether you be on ski, SUP or Board.

As this is an open water event we recommend that all participants are confident in their abilities in open water activity. There will be water safety present though out the course of the event however it is expected that all entrants are sufficient in conducting these activites.

Event Course

8KM DOWNWIND

The 8km Bay to Beach is an open water race from Callala Bay to Husky Beach. Competitors will start at the wharf at Callala Bay boat ramp and head out past Callala Point making their way across the bay to Huskisson.

With the regular northeast afternoon trade winds, this event will be fast and desirable for SUP’s.

This is an open water event and we recommend that all competitors are confident and experienced in their activity.

14KM DOWNWIND

The 14km Bay to Beach is an open water race from Callala Bay to Husky Beach. battle of the paddle

THE BATTLE OF THE PADDLE IS A FUN FILLED DASH FOR CASH

This crazy little sprint event is designed for the fast and furious in an elimination type Dash for Cash. There will also be a social race for those wanting to "give it a go" . 

Depending on numbers, Dash for Cash will have heats of up to 15 (3 laps) with a final and the winner(male and female) taking $250 cash. The Social Dash will be the same and again, and depend on numbers will have heats for the (on the day category selections) family, kids and those that don't paddle often.

All competitors will be supplied a Hobie inflatable board.

Event Course

500M DASH

Competitors will need to navigate their Hobie Inflatable paddle board around a course of buoys along the shore line at Husky Beach.

Each race will be 3 laps and competitors will start in heats of up to 15.

+ ON EVENT DAY

Collection of your Registration pack is compulsory for all individual entrants. These can be collected from the Registration Marquee. On the day entries will be available, please check the Event Schedule for registration times. Junior athletes please bring your parent or guardian along with you. *Cash and eftpos facilities will be available.

+ EVENT RESULTS

Can be accessed via the Results link at the top of the page. Results will be uploaded as soon as possible after the completion of the event.

+ AWARDS

Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd outright Male and Female plus 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female in each of the above age divisions.

+ BAG DROP

If you have any personal belongings you wish to take to the start line, please provide a secure labelled bag to leave at the start area and we will transport your personal belongings to the finish. Please note the event organisers will take care of your belongings, but no responsibility will be taken for valuables or clothing that are lost or damaged.

+ GETTING TO THE START LINE

If you do not have a ride to the start line, please indicate this during the entry process and we will organize a share ride or bus.

+ EVENT CANCELLATION/ UNSUITABLE CONDITIONS

We reserve the right to cancel the event if the weather conditions on the day are unsafe and dangerous to either swimmers or our support paddlers. If the event is canceled, there will be no re-run of the event and online entries will not be refunded.

+ CRAFT SECURITY

There will be a fenced off area on the beach where all craft can be left overnight if you choose. Event organizers will have contracted security overnight and until the next event.

+ DROP OFF ZONE

There is not enough parking for participants vehicles at this location, so a drop off zone will be provided where you will be able to drop your craft on the grassed area and park your vehicle in your accommodation or the back streets of Huskisson.

+ SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Legropes are required for all races. Life jackets are required for open water races only. (this can be either a bum bag or full life jacket as long as it meets legal requirements.
